The Plot:

As the layers are peeled away, Dr. Jackson’s life isn’t so perfect after all. Pulse proves that there is always more to the story, filled with unique twists, complex medical cases, and personal issues.

The Review:
Any fans of medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy or House out there? If so, you should definitely add Pulse to your TBR. I absolutely adore these shows, so the Vital Signs series is right up my alley. As expected in an emergency room, the pace was fast and interesting. I thought there was the perfect balance of medical cases, relationships, and introspection on Dr. Jackson’s part.
I especially liked Dr. Jackson’s relationship with his daughter. Their home life wasn’t easy, but he went out of his way to make sure she felt loved and cared for. (BJ is quite the unfortunate name, though!).
This is a very character-driven drama, some of which I assume is used to set the stage for the rest of the series. The side characters were just as good as the leads, and I can’t wait to see where this series goes!
QOTD: Grey’s, Scrubs, House, or something else? I’m a Grey’s girl myself, but last year Pat and I watched all of House straight through and now we’re doing the same with Scrubs.
