Summary:
Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him.
But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.
What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.
You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.
My Rating:
The Wives Spoilers:
Thursday was her name, not her day of the week. She was crazy and made up the polygamy as a way to cope with Seth not wanting to marry her. He was cheating on both Regina and Hannah with her. He divorced Regina and then married Hannah, but was never actually married to Thursday. In the end, Thursday confronts Hannah and Seth. Regina sets her up by pretending to believe her. Seth gets shot and paralyzed by Thursday. Thursday is put in a mental hospital after pleading insanity, but kills Regina when Regina comes to visit her.
I read this too long ago to remember enough to write a review, but I do remember that the she’s-crazy-and-goes-to-a-mental-hospital ending never sits right with me.
