#EmbraceBlackJoy

For the second year in a row, @bibliojordyn, @libraryofanormalgirl, and @honestbookgirl are hosting the #EmbraceBlackJoy stack challenge on Instagram. They’re encouraging readers to show off a few of your books featuring Black joy or Black Girl Magic, or just stories about Black life that aren’t centered on trauma.  “Representation matters! Show us the stories that celebrate Black life!”

This challenge is such a good reminder to:
💫 read books by Black authors all year long (not just in February)
💫 read books featuring Black stories that aren’t centered around trauma
💫 donate to an organization that focuses on bettering black lives

I put together a stack to post, but I’ve read even more books about Black joy than the ones I own physical copies of, and I wanted to be able to highlight them all!

Have you read any of these? What is your favorite book that embraces Black joy?

We're trying to grow our mailing list. If you join us and stick around, you will automatically be entered into two giveaways as a token of our thanks. And that's just the start!
