Top Ten Tuesday | Rom-Com Feature

Happy Tuesday, love birds! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

You all know thrillers are my favorite genre, but occasionally I spice it up with a rom com thrown in here and there. Thrillers can get a little monotonous if that’s all you read. Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is a love-themed freebie, so I figured I’d feature some of the rom coms I’ve read recently that I really enjoyed.

Check out all my past TTT posts here. Some highlights:

The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler

This rom-com was SO CUTE and made me very nostalgic for the trip to Alaska that I took in 2019. I even went to some of the same places as Zoey!

Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender

One of my goals for 2021 is to do a better job of diversifying my reads. I read Felix at the end of 2020 and it left me with the warm and fuzzies for days. Plus I LOVE this cover!

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

I was a little skeptical of the Groundhog Day theme of this book going into it, but ended up wanting even more restarts! One of my best friends read this just after I did and texted me, “We’re going to have holidays like this with our kids in the future, right?” We don’t have kids yet and are already plotting their romances.

One Day in December by Josie Silver

Not a Christmas book, as much as it sounds like it. A fun story of missed connections and romance gone wrong.

Not sure that this one fits the comedy theme, but I really enjoyed this story of relationships, both familial and romantic.

A funny, nerdy female MC with a badass job, a comparison of family relationships, and tons of banter? I was hooked.

I’m trying to read more rom-coms, because they really do make me very happy. I’ve got This Time Next Year, The Soulmate Equation, and The Float Plan on my wishlist/TBR. For you rom-com lovers, which other ones should I check out?
